David's Story
David Knezek (’12 B.A.) has made a point of serving his community, state and country in various capacities. From his days as UM-Dearborn student government president to being elected to Senate, Knezek has never failed to inspire the people around him. He became the youngest member of the 2013-2014 House Democratic Caucus at the age of 26. Knezek has the distinct honor of being the first Iraq War Veteran elected to the Michigan Legislature, having served two tours of duty in Iraq. Since being elected to the Senate, he was immediately tapped to join the Senate Democratic leadership team where he currently serves as chairman of the Senate Democratic Caucus. Knezek remains a strong advocate for the people of Michigan.
