Stevan Miller always strives to push himself and to be a leader on campus.
“My most defining moment at University of Michigan-Dearborn was joining my fraternity, Delta Sigma Phi,” he said. “My fraternity helped me develop leadership, communications, professional and advanced social skills.”
As a member of the Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity, he has served as brotherhood chair, public relations chair and leadership chair. Stevan went on to become elected president of the entire Greek community for 2011-2012 and again for 2012-2013.
“Stevan shows great initiative,” said Kristin McDonough, coordinator for Greek life. “He consistently demonstrates a real pride for our campus community and does all that he can to mentor fellow students.”
Stevan credits his mother for raising him to be the man he is today. As an entrepreneur and a scholar, she has influenced him deeply.
“She has taught me to be true to myself and my word. I learned from her to be a very confident person while remaining humble,” he said. “In addition, I was taught to lead others and build them up because you never know who you will need in the future.”
For Stevan, being true to himself means pursuing his dream career to become director of people operations for Google and to be a part of Google becoming a world-changing entity.
