Whether she’s on the court or in the classroom, Tiffany Brufladt is a humble leader.
As the former captain of UM-Dearborn’s volleyball team, Tiffany understands how good leadership can inspire people.
“I often encourage others to take charge of new opportunities in order to grow,” she said.
Tiffany does this by leading by example. She gives 100 percent and expects the same from her teammates. As a result, she was a part of the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference All-Academic Team and the 2012-2013 All-Conference Honorable Mention. She also was an National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics All-American Scholar.
Her accomplishments don’t stop on the court though. Tiffany has made the dean’s list eight times and serves as president of the Supply Chain Association (SCA).
“Tiffany has served as president of SCA for the past three semesters. During this time the association has achieved its largest membership, organized more events, raised more money, and accomplished multiple firsts,” said Gerald Holowicki, lecturer of management studies.
Some of these firsts include sponsoring an “Autism Speaks U” table on campus and assisting with acquiring thousands of dollars of training materials for APICS certification.
And this is just the beginning for Tiffany. She enjoys improving operating efficiencies and ultimately wants to make a difference globally in terms of social responsibility.
“I do not just want to have a job to make money. I want to apply my learned skills in business and apply them to a cause that is gratifying.”
